The KlangBlickMomente concert series shattered expectations by raising over 100,000 euros for Children’s Cancer Aid Tyrol and Vorarlberg with a spectacular benefit concert on June 21 at St. Andreas Parish Church in Kitzbühel. The sold-out event featured Emanuel Graf and his “Cellifamily” ensemble, performing Puccini’s Tosca, as well as Bavarian tenor Kevin Conners—who also acted as charming host for the evening. A highlight of the night was world-renowned crossover violinist David Garrett, who played stunning renditions of Brahms and Kreisler, on the Baltic violin by Guarneri del Gesù from 1731, accompanied by pianist Sophie Raynaud. Together with Graf’s Stradivari cello, “L’Évêque de la Rochelle” (1690), the night was packed with musician—and instrument—celebrities!

Professor Thomas Müller from Medizinische Universität Innsbruck Clinic for Pediatrics and Dr. Gabriele Kropshofer from Kitzbühel expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support, noting the impact the donation will have on children and families affected by cancer. Organized by a local Kitzbühel family, planning for next year’s concert is already underway to continue supporting this charitable cause.
